Sue Ann's Story

Life Well after many years traveling and moving from state to state I have finally settled down again in Florida (Brandon). It is great to be back. My children (Keith-18, Stormie-16, Brandon-13 and Autumn-5) all love living in Florida. Of course, they think they miss the snow because they cannot snow board in Florida but then again you cannot body surf in the Atlantic City in November either. Life could not be better in your 40's. Did I say that? Remember my motto is: I refuse to grow up because growing up means you grow old...... School I think the teacher that I remember the most is Mr. P. He also made his class fun and we learned things as well. Of course my High School crush was Cary White. Would I do High School over again....you bet. I loved every minute of High School and all the friends that I made. I truly believe that your High School years are the best years of your life. College I attended St. Pete Jr. College (now St. Pete College) part of my senior year and I think that really did me in for college. I did attend college courses while in the Air Force for 10 years and was just short of a Criminal Justice degree when I changed careers from Law Enforcement to Training and Education. Workplace I have had many different jobs. I worked at McDonalds (who didn't), a bank, Playboy Bunny, waitress, Air Force Police Officer, Training Manager, Capital One credit card services and now PMSI. But my most rewarding job is raising my children to become well round adults. I have learned to make sure to laugh, sing out loud, act silly in public places, cry when you need to and love as much as you can. Military I entered the military in January 1983. My first tour put me in Washington DC at Bolling AFB. It was a wonderful place to be single in. Great places to go, fun people to meet and a super night life. This is where I met my husband, Dennis. I then crossed trained into Training and Education and moved to New Jersey. McG...Expand for more
uire AFB isn't as bad as everyone made it out to be except that it was in a small town. But Atlantic city was an hour away as well as New york City and Philadelphia. My first year and a half of marriage I was in NJ and Dennis was in DC. Then we moved to live together for the first time in 1989 right after our son, Keith was born. We moved to Bitburg AB in Bitburg, Germany. I would go back in a heart beat. This is a beautiful place and I am really glad that I had the chance to see other places. While stationed here I gave birth to my daughter Stormie. Her father was able to come home from Desert Storm for the birth and went back for Operation Provide Comfort. After visiting 9 different counties and making some wonderful friends it was time for us to move back to the USA. This is when I got out (December 1992). We moved to Whiteman AFB, in Knob Noster, MO. I know your laughing and that is okay because I still laugh everytime I say the name as well. This is where we keep telling our second son, Brandon that he was found under a rock in a strawberry patch (he belived this for the longest time too). Just when we thought that we would be able to settle down for a while it was time to move again after Dennis returned from a tour in Korea. And off we were to............... McGurie AFB in New Jersey. Yes I had already been stationed here but it was fun because Dennis' family lives in New Jersey and we were always gone for the weekend to someone's house. I guess you can say this is where our two football players were born and our little cheerleader. When Dennis retired I talked him into moving to Florida so that I could be by parents for once. They have really enjoyed the grandkids even though they were not around when they were little so we think that is the reason God gave us Autumn when I was 40 years old (besides he knows we are young at heart). Now they had a little one to love on and give everything to that they couldn't do with the other 3.
